The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty
Maker of Heaven and Earth

And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
Born of the Virgin Mary
Suffered under Pontius Pilate
Was crucified, dead, and buried
The third day he arose again from the dead

He ascended into Heaven
And is seated on the right hand of God the Father Almighty
From there He shall come to judge the living and the dead

I believe in the Holy Spirit
The holy universal church
The communion of saints
The forgiveness of sins
The resurrection of the body
And the life everlasting
Amen

He Reigns

Ghost Ship

Verse 1
Are you weary? Are you overcome with grief?
Are you burdened? Are you searching for relief?
Are you hurting? Are you suffering today?
There's an answer to your pain

Chorus
He reigns, He reigns, He reigns
He conquers and He saves
He reigns, He reigns, He reigns
Over everything, everything He reigns

Verse 2
Are you waiting? Are you buried by defeat?
Are you asking? Are you questioning belief?
Are you breaking? Are you bent beneath the weight?
There is hope beyond the pain

Verse 3
Our good Savior, He is here and listening
He's our comfort, Hurting with us in our need
In our weakness, In the darkness, there's a way
He is present in the pain

Ending
Come all who are weary
Come all who are broken-hearted
Oh, come now to Jesus
Come and lay your burdens down

Rock of Ages

Augustus Toplady

Verse 1
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
let me hide myself in thee;
let the water and the blood,
from thy wounded side which flowed,
be of sin the double cure;
save from wrath and make me pure.

Verse 2
Not the labors of my hands
can fulfill thy law's demands;
could my zeal no respite know,
could my tears forever flow,
all for sin could not atone;
thou must save, and thou alone.

Verse 3
Nothing in my hand I bring,
simply to the cross I cling;
naked, come to thee for dress;
helpless, look to thee for grace;
foul, I to the fountain fly;
wash me, Savior, or I die.

Verse 4
While I draw this fleeting breath,
when mine eyes shall close in death,
when I soar to worlds unknown,
see thee on thy judgment throne,
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
let me hide myself in thee.

Giving

Responding to God's generosity

The stewardship of our finances is a tremendous—and often overlooked—area of our lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. We serve a generous God who want us to form His life-giving generosity in us. When we give, we do so not out of duty, but rather in glad response to what God has done for us and with excitement around getting to play a part in His grace reaching more of our city. 2 Corinthians 8-9 describes this kind of gospel-giving as joyful, sacrificial, and regular.
