Mission & Vision

The idea of forming passionate followers speaks to more than just discipleship, Bible studies, and ministry activity. From the moment of salvation until we are eternally joined to our heavenly Father and his Church, we believe that our job as shepherds is to help God's people see Christ formed in them (Gal. 4:19). This is done as they learn to follow Jesus by staying connected to his word and his people. Because of this, every time our church gathers, the Gospel (which is a message of the finished work of Christ on our behalf) is proclaimed, and the glory of God (which encompasses all of life) is declared. This truth is expressed in deep Godly affections in all seasons of life.

In light of the mission of Living Water Church, we believe that there is need for more churches that are saturated with the gospel of Jesus Christ. A gospel-saturated church is a place where gospel doctrine (teaching) and gospel culture (loving and caring for people) intersect. Since we need more churches that know the gospel and live in a manner worthy of the gospel we desire to be part of a movement to bring this to all peoples, starting in Vancouver where we are. But it isn't enough for us to have this kind of church, rather we need these kinds of churches all around the world. With an emphasis on missions around the globe and a desire to multiply in our county, we will participate in planting churches, funding churches, and growing churches starting from an outflow of the ministries at Living Water Church.
